Portland Girls Varsity Tennis finished up league dual match play hosting Eaton Rapids on Wednesday. The team knew that earning a win would help their chances of earning their third CAAC-White Championship in a row. Portland was leading the match 7-0 as the #4 doubles team was finishing up their close match. Unbeknownst to those two players, their win would clinch another 8-0 sweep for the Raiders. Their opponents were fighting hard to take the match to three sets. But the Raiders prevailed in a second set tiebreaker of 7-5. The team will play in the League Tournament next Thursday, taking their league record of 3-0-1 and adding it to the tournament results to determine the CAAC-White Champions. The Raiders are ready to work hard to make that three-peat happen!
