Despite yet another extremely cold spring day, Portland Varsity Girls Tennis swept their home opener against Charlotte, 8-0 (6-0 in match play with 2 flights winning by default). Our home opener included some special invited guests as Portland hosted the "Appreciation Match." All players invited a teacher who has been influential in the players' educational endeavors. We would like to again thank the teachers who made an appearance and braved the cold to support our team! We wouldn't be where we are without those important people!

Winning matches for Portland were:

1 singles Alyssa Jack, 2 singles Adriana Krieger, 3 singles Keegan Rockey, 1 doubles Kara Kraczon/Bella Virk, 2 doubles Elizabeth Seavey/Ally Logel, and 3 doubles Bryanna Hengesbach/Sadie Carey.

Our next action is this Saturday when we travel to Rochester for the Rochester Invitational.
