Girls Varsity Makes it Eight Straight Victories

The Portland girls basketball team made it 8 straight victories last night by defeating Potterville 42-29. The Raiders were once again led by the steady play of Ashley Bower. Ashley led all scorers with 18 points and had 5 steals. Ava Guilford was also key in the victory by hitting four 3 point buckets against the Potterville zone. Shayln Dziewiatkowski, Breckyn Werner and Alexa Weber all finished with 5 rebounds. The Raiders are now 14-1 and will go on the road to face a talented Detroit Renaissance team on Saturday.
