The Freshman girls basketball team improved their record to 8-3 Tuesday night with a 41-38 win over a very good Shepherd JV team. The Shepherd team jumped out to a quick 12-2 lead but the Raiders continued to battle and were tied at halftime. The second half was a battle with lead changes often. The Raiders showed grit and did not give up. Leading scorer, and a spark off the bench, for the Raiders was Gillen Pung with 8 points. Scoring was balanced as a team with Avery Wezensky with 7, Autumn Reffitt with 6, Ana Babcock with 5, Ayla Force with 4, Bailee Fish with 3, and Kennedy Snitgen and Anna Heath both with 2. The Raiders travel to DeWitt on Monday Feb. 7 for a rematch against DeWitt.
