The Lady Raiders rattled off their third straight win Tuesday night against Division 1 #8 East Lansing, 45-21. The Raiders held East Lansing to 10 points over the last three quarters to help seal the win. This is the 2nd win over a ranked opponent in the past two weeks. Portland was able to pressure the Trojans into several turnovers, led by the excellent ball pressure from Shalyn Dziewiatkowski and Ashley Bower. Ashley Bower led with 20 points, Alivia Densmore had an excellent all-around game with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals, Ava Guilford finished with 7 points and Dziewiatkowski had 8 rebounds. The Raiders will host another ranked opponent at home tonight at 7pm when they face off against a 9-1 Haslett team. 

The JV Girls Basketball team improved to 10-0 with their win over East Lansing. After being down 7-8 after the first quarter, the team pushed through for a 31-23 win. Paige Spedoske led with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Ella Gruber added 4 points and 8 boards, Jayden Townsend pitched in with 4 points and 3 assists, and Ally Logel finished with 4 points and 5 rebounds. Next the JV Lady Raiders head to Charlotte Friday night for a league matchup.

Finally, the freshman girls team improved their record to 6-3 with their win over East Lansing. Leading scorers for the Lady Raiders were Avery Wezensky with 14 and Bailee Fish with 7. The Lady Raiders travel to Shepherd on Tuesday Feb 1.
