The Portland Raiders girls basketball team picked up where they left off and beat St. John's 51-25 on Tuesday night. Once again the Raiders put forth a solid defensive effort by holding the Redwings to 11 total points through three quarters. Portland was led in scoring by Ava Guilford and Ashley Bower, both with 12 points and Alivia Densmore with 8 points. The Raiders had an outstanding all-around performance by Breckyn Werner who finished with 7 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Portland is now 5-0 and will play Forest Hill Central in the West Michigan Showcase on Saturday, 1/8/22. The game will be played at Cornerstone University and will tip at 1pm.
