The Varsity Volleyball team took 1^st place at the Kenowa Hills Invite this past weekend. The Raiders finished the day 5-1. We had a slow start against the host, Kenowa Hills losing 18-25 16-25. We woke back up for game 2 and 3 beating West Michigan Aviation 25-13 25-8 and Comstock Park 25-20 25-19 to secure the #4 seed for Bracket play. Lady Raiders faced off Muskegon Oakridge, defeating them 25-10 25-16 to move on to the semi-finals. After a very exciting game, Portland got their revenge on the host, Kenowa Hills defeating them 25-22 29-27. In the finals. Portland defeated Grant 25-18 25-21!

On the net, Alivia Densmore led the offense with 33 kills and Breckyn Werner adding 29 kills including 8 blocks. Jessie Whitford had 98 set assists for the day. Behind the service line Jessie Whitford led with 9 aces, Ava Guilford with 8, Molly Johnson and Savanna Dennany adding 6 each. Defense was strong all day with Molly Johnson tallying 57 digs, Ava Guilford 29 and Charlie Vallier 26 for the day.
