The Portland Raider golf team played in another scorcher today at Portland Country Club defeating Ithaca 189 to 248.  Low scorer for the match was Aubree Faulkner with a 45 followed by Ashley Bower's 46. Meanwhile, Gina Sonday and Malia Thelen each carded a 49.  The team travels to Royal Scot on Monday to play in the first of 6 CAAC White Division Jamborees.

The JV team opened their 2021 season also with a non-conference dual match with Ithaca. Played at the Portland Country Club with the heat index in upper 90’s, the Raider’s outshot the Ithaca Yellowjackets by thirty strokes to take a 212 (Portland team score) to 242 (Ithaca team score) win. The JV match was played with shorten fairway distances and an eight stoke limit per hole. Bailey Fish led Portland scorers shooting a 44 to earn match medalist honors. Ella Gruber carded a 51; Norah Wager had a 52 and Annabelle Bower finished with a 55 to round out the Raiders team score.
