Ludington 18, DeWitt 16, Portland 10, Almont 4

Portland hosted their second quad of the year. Ludington and DeWitt both play in divisions above us while Almont often qualifies in D4. The team was impressed by the quality of our opponents and stepped up to the challenge today. We played some tough matches and managed to have a couple of flights finish as runners up. Jr. Ethan Webert was finally able to join the team and won two matches to be the runner up in the 3 singles flight. Tim Pohl also got his senior season started with two wins and a runner up at 4 singles. Portland finished their top flights when Sr. Cadin Cross and Jr. Casey Smith teamed up at 1 doubles and were runners up in the flight. The team will play again Friday when they host their final quad of the week.
