First game -Monday's game against Holt was a heartbreaker for Varsity baseball, as they lost the lead late in a 4-2 defeat. The game was tied at two with Holt batting in the top of the sixth doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.  Portland knotted the game up at two in the bottom of the first inning, when Reese Townsend singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Senior Hunter Morris  started on the mound. The righthander went one and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on one hit and striking out one. Brady Bush threw five and a third innings in relief.

Reese Townsend, Trenton Trierweiler, Grant Ruddy, Alex Russman, and Brady Bush each collected one hit to lead Portland Raiders Varsity. 

In the 2^nd game Portland jumped out to an early lead over Holt and took home an 11-5 victory on Monday.  The Raiders pulled away for good with six runs in the second inning.  In the second Senior Alex Russman tripled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs, Trierweiler singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Hunter Morris homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs.

Russman got the Win for Portland Raiders allowing five hits and five runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out eight. They brought in Senior Trevor Williams to close out the game.

Portland Raiders Varsity totaled 12 hits in the game.  Alex Russman & Grant Ruddy were 3-4, Trenton Trierweiler 2-4 and Hunter Morris 2-3 with a big 3 run homer!
