In a non-conference, dual match played yesterday afternoon at the Portland County Club, the varsity boy’s golf team was able to overcome their struggle with short game play, penalty strokes and navigating uncustomary strong, east winds at Tuesday’s home match to defeat the Central Montcalm Hornets. The Raiders finished the match team score of 188 to Central Montcalm’s 238. Scoring for the Raiders was: Match medalist CJ Miller, who shot a 43; Isaac Honsowitz and Luke Nobis each carded rounds of 47 and Carter Rosier rounded out the Portland scoring with a 51.
The Raiders return to the links on Thursday when they travel to Royal Scot Golf Course to compete in the third of six CAAC White Division Boys Golf Jamboree hosted by Lansing Sexton.
