The Raider varsity golf team made a returned trip to Glenbriar Golf Course in Perry on Saturday to compete in the Dick’s Sporting Goods Tournament. This seventeen team tournament hosted some of the better division two and three golf programs around the Lansing area. Playing in the small school division of the tournament, the Raiders completed the eighteen-hole event with a seven and two record and shot the seventh best team score in the seventeen-team field with a final score of 368. Ann Arbor Greenhills shot a 330 to take first place honors in the small school division. Almont narrowly edged out Portland by just one stroke with a 367 to earn second place honors.

A Portland highlight of the tournament was that the Raiders had three golfers earn places on the All-Tournament Team: Hayden Getchell carded a 90, CJ Miller and Isaac Honsowitz each shot eighteen hole rounds of 92 in make the All-Tournament Team; Luke Nobis, who just missed making the All-Tournament Team cut shot a 94 and Carter Rosier finished with a 97.

Portland will host Central Montcalm in a non-conference, dual match on Monday, April 26^th at the Portland Country Club.
