Portland Varsity boys basketball lost the first game of the year against a very good Lansing Catholic Central team who was voted on by coaches to finish first in our league.   After allowing LCC to go on a small run right before halftime we went into halftime down by 9.  LCC came out the 2^nd half and capitalized on some turnovers and widened the gap to where we just couldn’t recover.   Kids fought hard and played w/ good emotion.   We were led by Trent Meyers w/ 15 pts.    Our next opponent is Eaton Rapids Friday night at home.
