Girls Basketball Outstanding Season Comes to and End

The Lady Raiders fell in the regional semi-final to Frankenmuth, 52-43. The Eagles got off to a hot start and the Raiders fell behind by 8 points after the 1st quarter. Portland battled back and cut the lead to 3 at halftime. A back and forth 3rd quarter saw the lead change several times and the Raiders were down just one point heading into the final quarter. The Lady Raiders hung tough, but Frankenmuth's size proved to be too much in the end. The Raiders were led by Ashley Bower who finished with 16 points, Ava Guilford with 11 points and Alivia Densmore with 9 points. The Lady Raiders finished the season 20-4 while winning the conference and district championships!
