The Portland girls basketball team won a huge non-conference game against Fowler, 46-37. The Raiders raced out to a 28-14 halftime lead. Portland's defense created many deflections and turnovers which frustrated the Eagles most of the night. Ashley Bower had a big night with 19 points along with several steals and deflections. Alivia Densmore played an outstanding all-around game with 8 points and 12 rebounds. Ava Guilford finished with 8 points and Ava Gruber chipped in 7 points. The Raiders will be on the road against conference rival Ionia on Friday night. 

The JV Girls Basketball team lost a tough game to the Fowler Eagles last night 49-32. Maria Villa Dosta led the Raiders with 18 points. Stella Durrant led on the boards with 9 rebounds. The Raiders are now 1-2 on the season and travel to play the Ionia Bulldogs Thursday at 6pm.
