At yesterday’s golf JV jamboree, the Raiders escaped with narrow three stroke advantage to escape with their
fourth consecutive first place finish in divisional jamborees this season.
Played at the Groesbeck Golf Course in Lansing, the Raiders shot team score
of 218 to edge out Charlotte’s 221. Lansing Catholic finished third just two
strokes behind Charlotte and five strokes behind Portland with a 223.
Scoring for Portland was: Madison Lockwood shot both the Raiders low round
and took match medalist honors with a 48; Aubree Faulkner carded a 53;
Lyndan Desgranges had a 56 and Stella Durrant and Amber Pline Hannah tied for
Portland’s fourth score with a pair of 61’s.
The JV’s will send a five player team to play in the Howell Eighteen-Hole JV
Invitational Tournament on Friday, September 20 th at the Ironwood Golf Course
in Howell.
