The Boys Cross Country Team traveled to Uncle Johns Cider Mill Wednesday Night, but NOT for donuts and cider.   The Ovid-Elsie Marauder Invitational was going on with 30 very strong teams ready to compete, and improvement was the name of the game for the Raiders.   

Carter Rosier and Ben Seavy were the first 2 Raider runners in dropping a full minute from last years times.   Ben Wassum and Andrew Pace finished dropped 30 seconds and 20 seconds off this year’s personal best times, and “new runner” Cade Vallier cut over 2 minutes of his 2019 personal best.   The team will be back in action when they travel to Eaton Rapids for a CAAC White Division Jamboree next Tuesday.

The Portland Girls Cross Country team competed at the Marauder Invite on Wednesday and continued to improve. Congratulations to Mya Estell, Patricia Saavedra, Bryna Adams, Destiny Foltz, and Sarah Halfmann for running Personal Records.  Season Bests were run by Laini Volk, Teaghan Lathers and Mya Collins.
