The Portland Boy's Tennis Team hosted Chesaning Tuesday night. The varsity team won with a clean sweep 8-0. Winners were Aryan Virk, 6-1, 6-1, Jack Roe 6-3, 6-3, Ryan Leonard 6-2, 6-2, and Jorgen Sonday 6-0, 6-2 at singles. Doubles teams that won were Gabe Hankey and Marty Thelen 6-0, 6-1, Kurt Kraczon and Alex Russman 6-1, 6-1, Joe Lorenz and Cadin Cross 7-6(7-3), 6-4, and Kai Kipp and Casey Smith 7-5, 4-6, (10-5).

The JV team also won 3-2. Winners were Tim Pohl 8-2 at singles and doubles teams of Collin Pung and Tim Pohl 8-1 and Gage Rodriguez and Dane Wildrom 8-2.

The JV team plays again Wednesday against Williamston at home. Then both teams play next Tuesday away at Williamston.
