On Thursday, Portland hosted and participated in their Tennis Regional Tournament. While the seeding odds were in Portland's favor (receiving 7 #1 seeds in the draw), the girls went even further than what was expected from those seeds. Not only did they win the Regional Championship, but they swept all EIGHT FLIGHTS. A feat not yet accomplished by any Girls' Tennis Team at Portland High School. Regional Champs for Portland were:

The team now sets their sites on the State Tournament May 31 & June 1 when they travel to Kalamazoo to play at Kalamazoo College's impressive Stowe Stadium and Western Michigan University!!
