Last night the boys JV basketball team defeated Sexton by a score of 58-54.  In a game where both teams had the lead in the final minutes, stifling defense and solid execution iced the game away.  Trent Meyers lead the 9 different Raiders that scored with 14 points.  Trevor Williams contributed in the last 20 seconds with an offensive rebound off a missed free throw and the ensuing a scramble led to 8 players on the floor and Dylan Curtiss ending up at the line.  The Big Reds ended with 1 final possession with the chance to tie or take the lead when the door was shut by Trevor Williams' sliding over from his help position to take a charge on Sexton's leading scorer.  After great execution to get the ball in bounds, Jack Roe made 2 more free throws in the final seconds to ice the game away.
