The Freshman basketball picked up their first win last week Monday against Laingsburg 37-32. Brady Bush had 14 points with Ethan Patrick adding 10. Defense was led by Dalton Becker with 6 rebounds. Great team win

On Thursday the freshman lost to Ionia 51-39. Dalton Becker and Dane Wildrom led the Raider offense. The freshman were down 18 at half but fought back within 9 in the second half. Great team effort on the denfensive side as the Raiders held Ionia to just 8 points in the second half to try and get the win. 
Freshman fall to 1-2 on the season.
Games this week at PW on Wednesday and home Thursday against Sexton.

On Tuesday, the JV team put the running clock on Lansing Christian beating them by 40 points.

Also, the boy's varsity basketball team improved its record to 2-2 with a 55 - 40 win over Lansing Christian on Tuesday night.  The Raiders jumped out to a 15 - 7 lead after the first quarter with Aryan Virk scoring 9 of his 17 points in the opening quarter.  The Pilgrims fought back to cut the deficit to four points by halftime with Portland leading 25 - 21 at the break.  The Raiders went on a 12 - 0 run to start the third quarter with six different players scoring in the quarter.  Owen Russell got hot in the fourth quarter scoring 13 of his 15 points in the final eight minutes including three 3 pointers to secure the win for the team.  David Svanda scored 7 points and Jordan Petersen chipped in with 6 points.  

The boys now head to Sexton on Friday night for a CAAC White matchup with the Big Reds.  Tip-off is set for 6:00 pm.
